JOB TITLE: Commercial Lawyer (In-house)
PQE REQUIRED: 0 - 3

THE ROLE: The successful Commercial Lawyer will (with supervision where appropriate) provide legal advice and compliance oversight for our client's businesses and investments within Europe. This will include:
• Assisting with the preparation and review of commercial contracts (including (but not limited to) NDAs, supply agreements, storage agreements, tolling agreements, agency agreements and letters of intent). • Taking charge of corporate filings (e.g. filing of annual accounts, filing of confirmation statements, filing of director appointments and resignations). • Drafting and reviewing board minutes, shareholders resolutions and procedural notes. • Supporting corporate governance related work (including drafting and updating company rules and policies, handling internal applications). • Carrying out research for the legal team (and possibly various business departments, business administration teams). • Advising and delivering training to employees on key legal and compliance issues such as anti-bribery, data protection, competition. • Carrying out due diligence where required.
THE CANDIDATE: We are seeking a Commercial Lawyer who is quick to learn and is a good communicator. The individual will need to build relationships with colleagues across the organisation at all levels, including top level executives and directors.
• 0-3 years' PQE Solicitor. • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver to set timelines and/or to prioritise.
Whilst not a pre-requisite the following would very likely be valuable to you for this position: • Experience with company secretarial matters. • Knowledge of German language. • Experience of Japanese companies..
