Parkinson Lee Executive Search are the retained partners to an International Manufacturing Group based in Lincolnshire in the appointment of a Finance Director.
As a board director, you will report to the MD and work closely with the Group FD to direct the strategic Finance and IT departments in order to deliver growth and meet the financial targets for the business.
Working in this fast-paced growth environment, leading a multi-disciplined team of 10+, the Finance Director will provide timely and accurate business information to support effective decision-making and drive performance improvements through KPIs. As the business continues to grow you will lead on change management, including an ongoing system update and implementation into an overseas site.
As a strong commercial partner to the MD, you will provide relevant analysis and advice on investment opportunities for the business looking at new markets and new product development, balancing sales income V project investment accordingly.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Full control of the company's accounting and IT functions
*Accountability for Management Information production, ensuring targets are met
*Responsible for tactical and strategic accounting during the early stages
*Working with the senior team to contribute fully to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
*Working in close collaboration with the Group Finance Director and other peers across the group companies to drive corporate objectives and best practice
*Ensuring that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
*Ensuring corporate budgeting processes are carried out and cost of sales targets are achieved
*Taking ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies
*Presenting annual accounts to all stakeholders and monthly business performance numbers in a way that is understandable and provides direction for improvements
*Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
*Contractual knowledge of joint ventures and wholly owned facilities in overseas locations
*Establishing a high level of credibility and managing strong working relationships with external parties including customers, suppliers, funders and advisors
*Providing support to supply chain to deliver the best cost improvements and payment terms
*Leading the IT/IS function ensuring strategies are in place for security, business support and on-going projects are supported

*A solid Manufacturing Finance Director in a SME business
*An individual who is across the detail of finances within the manufacturing process
*A strong manager able to lead and empower a multi-disciplined team
*Strong commercial partner to the MD
*Experience of carrying out robust due diligence on acquisition targets and investment opportunities
*Experience of change management and system implementation, with a keen eye for being ahead of new technologies
*A passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success
*Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
