Head of Commercial Operations

We're looking for an exceptional individual to take the reins as Head of Commercial Operations at an award–winning company specialising in humorous greetings cards, stationery, and gifts. If you have a demonstrable track record of leading growth, building, and maintaining key customer, supplier and stakeholder relationships and managing people we'd love to hear from you.

Along with a salary of up to GBP100,000 plus profit related bonus, you will also receive 25 days holiday plus Christmas, life insurance, private medical and excellent career development opportunities.

As the Head of Commercial Operations, you'll be a guiding light overseeing a team of passionate individuals. Reporting to the founder / director, you will lead all commercial and operational development, activities and decision making, ensuring a clear strategy, best practice and processes that continue to enhance the whole customer experience, profitability and branding.

As the Head of Commercial Operations, your key areas of responsibility will include:

• Commercial support and strategy implementation
• Financial management
• Leading procurement and purchasing negotiations
• Developing programmes to attract, develop and retain talent

We're looking for an accomplished Commercial and / or Operations Professional with the following skills and experience:

• A strong track record of delivering growth and success in a commercial leadership role from within gifting, greetings or a relatable sector such as FMCG
• Experience in a senior buying role or similar would be an advantage
• Ability to give examples of previously building and maintaining key customer, supplier, and stakeholder relationships
• Sound commercial acumen, with good knowledge of e–commerce and export operations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills proven in a B2B/B2C brand environment
• A true leader who can develop and inspire others
