Supply Chain Manager required for a leading manufacturer who boast a fantastic reputation within their sector, a brand truly associated with quality.
The role of the Supply Chain Manager will suit experienced individuals from procurement or supply chain backgrounds, candidates from a manufacturing industry will have considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply. You will have experience understanding accounting and finance and have the ability to evaluate complex contractual issues.
The role will effectively be the most senior procurement professional/procurement lead on site. You will oversee a team of professionals, who are fairly autonomous in their roles. A lot of the role will be hands on procurement and finance and the other part of the role will be strategy focused. You will manage the supply chain, including auditing new suppliers and negotiation of contracts and commercial terms. It will be your responsibility to ensure all material transactions/purchase orders are managed to ensure demand is fulfilled in line with the production schedule. You will put together economic strategies to support production and sales forecasts. As part of your role you will seek to improve practices and streamline operations where possible.

The Role:
Most senior procurement professional on site
Overseeing a team of professionals within different departments
Managing supply chain including auditing new suppliers, negotiation of contracts and commercial terms
Managing material transactions/purchase orders in line with production schedule and sales forecast
Monday to Friday, early finish Friday
The Procurement Manager:
Must have previous supply chain or procurement lead experience
Must transfer from a manufacturing background
If you have previous experience leading a team this will be advantageous
Degree in Business management, supply chain management or equivalent qualification, for example CIPS, would be advantageous
