We are working with a leading provider of social housing, to assist them with the recruitment of a Retrofit Project Manager

This role is part of the Environmental Sustainability team which works across the organisation. The Retrofit Project Manager will report to the Decarbonisation Manager to deliver retrofit works

The main purpose of this role is to project manage the delivery of energy improvement and carbon reduction to existing homes, ensuring they are delivered in a compliant way, to a high standard, on time and to budget.

Duties will include:

  • Overseeing the delivery of energy improvement works within the retrofit programme
  • Ensuring the retrofit process is compliant with PAS 2035 and all relevant legislation, including health and safety and CDM Regulations.
  • Managing relationships with customers, responding to queries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring performance of contractors including appropriate oversight of work on site.
  • Preparing project briefs, descriptions of work and specifications to enable the procurement of sustainability projects.
  • Reviewing and approving packages of energy improvement measures and associated designs, including architectural drawings.
  • Maintaining relationships and attending regular meetings with funding partners and maintaining timely reporting in line with funding requirements.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the retrofit programme is coordinated with other capital programmes.

About You:

  • Hold a qualification related to domestic construction, surveying, architecture or retrofit
  • Experience of managing planned programmes of work, preferably within the housing or similar sector.
  • Knowledge of retrofit, PAS2035 and best practice.
  • Knowledge of the CDM, Asbestos awareness, all other regulations relevant to the delivery of retrofit works.
  • Experience of managing multiple supply chain stakeholders, including contractors, designers and consultants.
  • Knowledge of the opportunities for CO2 reduction and energy efficiency improvements in the residential property.
  • Knowledge of SAP and RdSAP.
  • Excellent contract management skills
  • Hold a current, valid driving licence

The role will require you to work across different project areas within a designated region utilising the organisations hybrid operating model.

The role will manage retrofit projects in the region of 2–3m in value per annum.
