Business Development Manager Construction

Location: Home based/Field based

Salary: OTE – GBP100k

We have an exciting opportunity for experience Business development manager with experience from the construction industry. You will be responsible for selling main contractor packages and solutions for a range of customers, Nationwide. Our client is a reputable main contractor from the Interior fit out sector, established for over 20 years, with a fantastic reputation they are looking to expand the team to assist with their exciting growth plans.

They work across several sectors, with dedicated National teams experienced in producing high quality outcomes for Retail, Commercial & Finance, Public & Government, Leisure & Hospitality.

Working between home, client meetings and the occasional day in the Southwest office, you will actively identify and create new opportunities for projects ranging between GBP2m and GBP3M per annum.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek out and engage new prospects, and identify opportunities to sell the Field brands, with the primary goal of achieving the sales revenue target.
  • Attend a defined and targeted amount 1–2–1 meetings with end–user clients (prospects), trade partners, suppliers and alike, initiating and making sales presentations, all towards converting into new sales clients.
  • Identify and approach appropriate trade partners, suppliers and other associated entities to facilitate cross selling and referral opportunities.
  • Pro–actively grow the network of contacts by developing and enhancing the CRM database
  • Attend appropriate trade and networking events, seminars, shows and other related industry activity to build a strong network of prospects/clients/suppliers/associate contacts.
  • At an overview level and in collaboration with both the Sales and Marketing Director and the Divisional Leads, relationship manage clients, trade partners and suppliers as appropriate, seeking new ways to cross–sell, up–sell and generate business referrals etc.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience as a sales Manager or Business development manager within the Construction industry
  • Knowledge of the interior fit out sector
  • A proven Track record in sales
  • A Full Uk Driving licence
  • The ability to build excellent working relationships at all levels
