The Package

  • Salary is in the region of GBP51,405
  • Permanent contract, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working option, enabling you to work from home or at our offices in either Llandudno Junction or Bangor, travelling to our offices as and when required to meet the needs of the business, as well as travelling to site visits and meetings across North Wales

The Role Development Project Manager

Reporting to the Assistant Director Commercial, as the Development Project Manager you ll will work within the Development Team to achieve the delivery of new homes for our customers across North Wales. Your remit will focus on delivery of development projects from inception to completion to time, budget, and quality standards.

You will:

  • Identify and evaluate new development opportunities and prepare business case proposals
  • Be responsible for the progression, monitoring and audit of development schemes, including liaison with property/landowners, external consultants, design teams, relevant local authority officers, developers/contractors, and Welsh Government staff
  • Assist the Finance Team to prepare programmes, budgets, scheme appraisals, risk assessments, cash flows, and forecasts for individual schemes
  • Procure and manage contractors and consultants and contribute towards the achievement of our growth corporate plan objectives
  • Organise consultation events and communicate information about development activity within the communities where we work
  • Manage the defects process to ensure that defects are carried out in a timely manner

Our Requirements Development Project Manager

  • Experience of project management gained within either a building site supervisor or clerk of works role, dealing with significant project budgets
  • Either a Higher National Certificate/Diploma in construction, surveying, mechanical, or electrical related studies or the equivalent demonstrated through experience
  • Experience of working on new build schemes from inception through to the completion of making good of defects, delivering projects to time, quality and budget requirements
  • Experience of assessing project risks and producing risk management strategies
  • Experience working with various forms of contracts for new build and refurbishment schemes
  • Knowledge of contract procurement and contract management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good commercial awareness and negotiating skills
  • A full driving licence and a willingness to travel to our sites across North Wales

Although not essential, the ability to write and converse confidently in Welsh would be advantageous.
