MPI have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to be based in Telford , Shropshire.
Some travel to Hertford will be required.
This is a permanent role and salary will be discussed at interview and is dependant on experience.
Approx 34 hours per week , plus additional hours to meet business needs
Job Description:–
You will be required to Identify and develop new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow.
Plan and grow MPI s position in existing markets and accounts
Expand MPI s operation into new areas.
Key Duties:
Research, identify and develop new business opportunities including new clients, new markets, growth areas, trends and new ways of expanding existing customers and markets.
Develop a sales pipeline, generate leads and cold call prospective customers to grow opportunities in agreed sectors for recruitment.
Develop new business proposals, pitches and deliver presentations to secure new business.
Monitor for tender opportunities and complete commercial responses.
Foster and develop relationships with potential/existing clients.
Identify and understand customer needs and respond effectively to meet these.
Negotiate pricing with customers and review potential contracts.
Have strict regard for milestone deadlines and budgetary constraints.
Utilise MPI s CRM and recruitment workflow platform.
Be a focal point of contact for account management.
Attend customer site visits and project review meetings.
Identify potential project/programme risks and take appropriate action where necessary.
Attend exhibitions and job fairs where required.
Work to ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards.
Carry out related duties other than these specified as and when required.
Assist in analysing customer satisfaction levels
Monitor performance, identify root causes to variances to plan and implement corrective measures.
Contribute to the management review process and operations review meetings.
Requirements:
Experience in business development activities within the recruitment sector for any industry.
Excellent communication skills with evidence of using them to communicate with different audiences.
Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
Written and verbal communication skills needed as well as presentation skills
IT skills, including the use of CRMs, MS Office and e–sourcing platforms.
Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work.
Project management and organisational skills.
Negotiating skills.
Ability to work as part of a large and geographically dispersed team.
