Thomson Reuter's Demand Gen Team is dedicated to developing and implementing innovative and effective integrated marketing campaigns across a range of industry–leading products. This Director role sets the strategic approach, planning and performance prioritization for Thomson Reuters demand generation within the Legal segment for Europe and Canada, delivering on the unique customer needs of these significant markets to ultimately drive marketing attributed sales, revenue and growth in this segment.

We are seeking an experienced, digitally savvy, and data–driven leader for a Director, Legal Marketing Strategy to drive robust and integrated marketing strategies for the European and Canadian markets. This is a strategic and cross–functional leadership role who works closely with the segment leadership General Manager and sales leadership as well as across multiple marketing capabilities. This role requires strong experimentation, innovation and cross–functional leadership required, and requires a self–motivated individual with strong analytical background and communication skills.

About the Role

In this opportunity as the Director of Legal Marketing Strategy, you will:
  • Experience or knowledge of the Canada or Europe Legal market
  • Own creation, planning and activation of innovative marketing strategies for the Europe and Canada segments, with strong focus on transforming and optimizing digital channels, partnering closely with sales, demand gen and product marketing groups to build and align on upfront strategy and prioritization.
  • Forecast, measure, analyze and report the impact of campaign and demand gen activities on marketing and sales pipeline, revenue and demand funnel velocity.
  • Deeply understand Legal's go–to–market strategies, insights, personas, customer segmentation, competitive intelligence to translate business goals into marketing strategies.
  • Partner closely across the marketing organization to bring strategies and plans to life through thoughtful planning, integration of relevant content and effective translation into demand gen programs and activities.
  • Delivery of effective marketing strategies to fuel sales funnel and build pipeline, from marketing qualified lead to closed sale

About You

You're a fit for the role of Director of Legal Marketing Strategy if your background includes:
  • Must be based in United Kingdom or Canada
  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, growth marketing or demand gen, with deep understanding of marketing frameworks and channel mix activation
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, teamwork and relationship–building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization
  • Strong paid and organic digital experience and CX thinking a plus; deep understanding of modern demand generation technologies, platforms and systems
  • Strong business development and/or consulting experience a plus
