About this vacancy:

Working for a leading manufacturing business, we are looking for a high performing financial controller with manufacturing experience. You will be responsible for leading a finance team, driving performance, improvements in systems and processes and financial reporting. You will have control and responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy, analysis of results and implementation of recommendations. You will also be involved in a number of interesting projects within the business, that helps drive continuous improvement of data, processes and systems within the finance team.

Main duties:

  • Management, development and oversight of the finance team.
  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
  • Managing, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Financial modelling, analysis and presentation of findings to executive team
  • Responsibility for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly and weekly business performance reports including rolling forecasts and variance reporting.
  • Working closely with other stakeholders in the business to help report key KPI's in a timely manner.
  • Cash and currency management of the company and day to day contact with the banks
  • Development and refinement of management accounting and reporting, including KPIs and business analysis
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of the costing system, to ensure they are up to date and accurate.
  • Participation in business strategy development
  • Preparation of draft annual accounts, working paper files and consolidation of financial statements and supporting with the statutory audit, and being a key point of contact.
  • Working with and liaising with external financial advisers
  • Ensuring adherence with company policies and procedures

About You

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA,ACA,CIMA)
  • SAP Business One experience essential
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS applications including Excel and Access

  • Prior Manufacturing sector experience essential
  • Experienced Manager
  • Strong communication Skills
  • Commercial Astute
  • Inquisitive and pro active problem solver
  • Ability to deal with financial and non financial people across the business
  • Able to work under own initiative
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight timescales when required
  • Confident and highly motivated
  • Highly Numerate
  • Experienced in inventory planning and stock control.
