The Role: Talent Partner

Location: Warrington / Flexible Working

Package: Salary to 40,000 with 5,000 car allowance, private healthcare, enhanced pension.

This is a rapid growth, well funded telecommunications networks company and HQ is based in the Warrington area. Reporting to the People Director, we've got a new role for a talent partner to join the small team with the goal of delivering people projects and the main focus on talent attraction, retention and development.

This role would have a Recruitment Co–ordinator reporting into it and a key point would be that you would be responsible for developing and owning the training centre and you would also own / enhance the apprenticeship scheme.

We'd be looking for you to look at and recommend how the company improve the whole end to end talent process, ideally making a more robust talent attraction piece, and then as a key project, you will own the implementation of the talent management system, supporting processes and line management training for those and then a cycle of development for others.

A further interesting project that we will be looking for you to lead would be creating and delivering the apprentice scheme in line with business requirements.

There will still be opportunity to get stuck in with the day to day operational HR in peak times of activity but the principle focus will be on attracting, coaching, developing and ultimately retaining our employees.

You'll have a close working relationship with the HRBP and as a team, will be the eyes and ears of the people director around the business but across talent, you'll be someone who enjoys getting things done and getting involved with stretch projects.

We believe this new role can be really impactful and make a lot of difference, when it comes to getting the business where they need to be terms of a positive candidate and employee experience.

It's a North West bias, with occasional travel to support the other programme areas across the UK but we are open minded as to location and are looking for the right person, who can come into the HQ as and when needed but in a hybrid working environment, common sense will apply but for this role, it's a position that definitely needs you to have a car / driving license.

Who are you? Key Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified with proven commercial experience within a talent partner / advisor role.
  • Good data reporting and interrogation experience – one of the points of the role is to collate and deliver data to the people director on a monthly basis to support project agenda.
  • Talent attraction, retention experience.
  • Some knowledge of HR project management would be great.
  • Communication is key – this is a fast moving, rapid growth technology company and hundreds of millions of pounds are being invested in the roll out of the network, so you will need to interact and support colleagues and managers from a range of different technical engineering areas – they have a real mixture of backgrounds and personalities so the ability to adapt and support your audience is key.

Benefits are solid with private health, a good pension, 25 days leave plus birthday off (This grows one day per year) and the business has a strong commitment to ongoing training, support and development.
