Are you looking for an opportunity to join an evolving manufacturing business and to be responsible for the New Product Development department? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering professional who wants to help shape the NPD side of the business as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

Designing and building high tech equipment that is exported globally is the aim of the game, and you will be investigating, summarising, reporting on and making recommendations of how to improve the business. You will be leading the Engineering team and providing a high–quality service to all stakeholders for the UK office. They are part of a growing group of companies; collectively they have experienced a 25% increase in recent sales and strong profitability despite the impact of Covid–19 globally.

As Engineering Director, you will report into the MD and be responsible for:

• Supporting the technology roadmap which builds on the Marketing Vision for the future;
• Manage and meet challenging targets for multiple projects within new product development;
• Drive the NPD team to achieve set targets overcoming any obstacles;
• Collaborating with key departments to ensure projects run smoothly

The Candidate: Engineering Director

The successful candidate will have strong project management and leadership skills. You will also have the following:

• 5 years experience of successfully delivering NPD projects; ideally Scientific or Electron Microscopy;
• Leadership experience of a multidiscipline engineering design team;
• Experience in managing, and delivering NPD projects within budget;
• A proven track record of successfully working in a similar role

To be commutable to the office you could live in or near one of the following locations: Lewes, Eastbourne, Brighton, Bexhill, Uckfield, Hailsham
