To project manage development schemes from inception to completion ensuring robust financial and
management information is maintained, directly managing circa 15m worth of Development Projects.

To oversee the disposal of organisation assets as required ensuring
compliance with regulatory requirements.

Our client is a well established Housing Association with an excellent reputation and a portfolio of just shy of 8,000 properties.

Description

As Development Project Manager, key responsibilities include:

Project manage a portfolio of development schemes from cradle to grave.

Ensure capital expenditure on development schemes in your portfolio is accounted for with accurate cash
flow forecasting and business planning.

Take a proactive approach to sustainability ensuring projects are assessed and continuously improved to meet
the organisations sustainability goals
.
Responsible for overseeing defects reporting on projects including the swift resolution and rectification of
reported defects during the 12 months liability period.

To ensure management information related to properties is provided to Asset Management, Neighbourhood and
Finance teams at the point of handover.

Lead and manage planning, design and delivery and liaison with the local authority, parish council, councillors
and key stakeholders regarding planning applications on new redevelopment schemes.

Identify opportunities within the organisation's portfolio of assets that may be suitable for new development,
obtaining viability options appraisals as required.

As required identify new development opportunities for land led and S106 schemes.

Provide supervision and leadership to building site operatives and contractors carrying out work on the
organisation's properties.

Responsible for the disposal of surplus properties and land as required, ensuring all regulatory and
funding requirements are met.

Profile

The successful candidate will be;

  • Ideally RICS, CIOB, CIH qualified (desired but not essential)
  • Track record of delivering a portfolio of Development Projects within the RP world from cradle–to–grave.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to deal with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Homes England procedures.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Proval, Sequal experience (desired but not essential)
