My client is a tier 1 contractor that specialises in general build projects across the UK. They were established in 2001, with a turnover of 750m+ and 800+ employees.

What will I be doing?

You will be part of a brand–new project team based on–site in Coventry working on a large Student Accommodation project. Your role is to manage the on–site and project management team and ensure the project is running

Senior Project Manager responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the delivery and programme management.
• Supporting Business Directors in delivering business objectives
• Working on larger and more complex projects, you may be responsible for multiple projects at once.
• You will supervise other mid–level Project Managers and employees within the organisation.
• Work closely with department heads to increase revenue, achieve productivity goals and contribute to the organisation's overall success.
• Ensure projects assigned to you are completed on time and rules and regulations of the organisation are enforced.
• Direct the development of construction, and project works to meet key business objectives.
• Direct, organise and motivate the team so that work is undertaken safely, efficiently and to the relevant standards.
• Control risks to ensure work is compliant with standards, performance and business processes.
• Develop business opportunities by researching and identifying high–value potential clients
• Secure adequate resources and funding to enable efficient & safe delivery of the portfolio.
• Direct the timely assignment of (CDM) obligations for all projects in programme.
• Promote continual improvement in business for our clients and employees.
• Control and check the quality of work undertaken and confirm assets are compliant to standards.
• Accurately report all work completed/not completed and produce/maintain records as required.
• Take responsible care for the health and safety of yourself and other people.

Am I right for the role?

• 3+ years working as a Senior Project Manager for Main Contractors
• Experience working on projects worth upwards of 20m
• Experience working on Student Accommodation or Hotel projects within the last 5 years
• Own a Black CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid at work (3 day)
• Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety
