Consortium Professional Recruitment are proud to be working exclusively with a long established and highly successful business, within a commutable distance from Hull. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Container Logistics Business Partner.

About the Role:

This role will involve working closely with the Container Logistics Manager, maintaining clear communication and building relationships with external customers, suppliers, container shipping lines/Forwarders and internal teams, upholding the values of the business at all times.

As the Container Logistics Business Partner, your role would include:
  • Having sole responsibility for the management of the logistics for selected areas of the companies container trade
  • Offer support to other team members for other areas of logistics within the business
  • Manage projects alongside Container Logistics Manager when required
  • Provide an innovative and personal service to their business partners on all container logistics matters
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with new and existing freight providers, ensuring that the business are achieving preferential container freight allocations and costs.
  • Produce forecasts in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure container loadings are executed in line with requirements
  • Liaise with all stakeholders and communicate clearly to ensure cohesion
  • Work alongside external agencies when required to meet requirements of destination markets.
  • Manage an mitigate associated risks associated with the container loads
  • Using SAP Business system alongside the container logistics platforms
About you:

The successful Container Logistics Business Partner will have the following attributes:
  • multiple years of experience of Container Logistics or other related international shipping management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • ability to juggle multiple work loads with acute planning skill and working to deadlines
  • Teamwork, tact, and good interpersonal skills
  • Sensitivity to culture and religion
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Problem–solving ability, particularly when working under pressure.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of SAP is preferred but not essential
  • Good knowledge of Shipping documentation

The company are offering an attractive salary up to GBP40,000 + bonus incentive scheme, stakeholder pension, private healthcare and other benefits included.
