Specifically in the area of complex medical negligence services advice and support will include:
• Acting for Claimants in complex medical negligence cases and Inquests.
• Advising clients of funding options; identifying and liaising with appropriate experts
and Counsel; advising clients on merits and quantum; advising on procedure and
alternative dispute resolution processes. Undertaking advocacy, when cost effective,
at interlocutory stages.
• Advising Claimants on other options, for example, the Complaints Procedures,
Complaints to the GMC etc.
• Managing highly sensitive and emotive cases.
• Working with high profile cases which may have a higher level of economic, political,
or social impact or risk for the firm.
• Considering and identifying clients' needs, for example, access to rehabilitation, the
need for financial advice, Wills, Powers of Attorneys, pre / post Nuptial agreements
etc. and facilitating this, as appropriate.
• Undertaking additional technical qualifications in the medical negligence arena to be
considered an expert in your field, e.g. Panel memberships.
• Providing advice on complex matters to other members of the team in relation to
Medical Negligence issues that require sign off or specialist knowledge.
• Supporting other members of the team in their caseloads, including running their
cases during periods of absence.
• Contributing to the firm's knowledge bank.
• Initiating opportunities for self-development.
• Undertaking any other reasonable duties from time to time allocated to the role

As a Senior Associate in our team, your role would include:
