A Head of Finance job, broad finance role for this SME food manufacturing business in Manchester.

Your new company
This food manufacturing business has a diversified portfolio of products, with a customer base spanning local SMEs to other multinational conglomerates. With an appetite to keep on growing they are well positioned in the market to capitalise on their existing client base.

Your new role
This is a number 1 in finance role, and you will be supporting the Managing Director and senior management team. You will be the key point of contact to provide useful financial information to the various stakeholders, leading a small finance team who will support you in the production of management accounts, financial reporting, cash flow management and stock control. This is a really broad finance role and will provide a variety of challenges on a day-to-day basis. Your value add will come from supporting on commercial and strategic finance initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a sound technical understanding from completing your ACA, ACCA or CIMA accounting qualification and have a good technical accounting knowledge. You will also have a strong analytical skill set to interpret financial data, alongside the communication skills to articulate this information to key stakeholders. A savviness around accounting systems and an ability to lead a team are also key. Your career to date will also have strong examples of working within a product and stock led, manufacturing businesses.
