A superb opportunity for a Business Analyst to secure a 6–month contract with a global consumer goods organisation who is renowned for its strategic focus on powerful brands and innovative products. The organisation has a culture of innovation, firm commitment to R&D and extensive customer insight.
The successful Business Analyst will sit in the Business Process and Risk team which drives change across EMEA and will act as the subject matter expert in business process and controls, focusing on supporting our Human Resource BPO and key users on changes for the HR system. This Business Analyst will be focusing on Workday platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with Business Process Owners in Human Resources, HR key users across the organisation and IT application teams this successful candidate will manage business projects and initiatives, as well as support the management of change requests (CRs) submitted by the business stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to the BPOs – through process reviews, or data analysis
- Work with BPOs, other Business Analysts and the Development team to produce clear and well documented business requirements, process and data flow diagrams and key user guides.
- Work with the Project Manager to lead and facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to establish the scope, business needs, project objectives, acceptance criteria and expectations.
- Work with relevant business stakeholders (including BPOs) to understand and define the as–is and to–be end–to–end business processes and solutions
- Work with our BPOs to develop appropriate policies to ensure appropriate governance of the new process and solutions.
- Analyse the impact of the proposed solutions across the end to end process, ensuring the proposed solutions and processes are optimised and well controlled
- Facilitate discussions in workshops, obtain business feedback and translate the feedback into business requirements for the development team
- Ensure business requirements are accepted and approved by the relevant business stakeholders
- Develop functional, system integration and user acceptance test scripts to ensure all business requirements are appropriately tested
- Review test results to ensure they correspond to the expectations and requirements of the business.
- Produce documentation to support key user and end user training (self–help or instructor led)
- Review and manage CRs to ensure the requirements are appropriate, work with the BPO to prioritise based on business criticality and IT availability, monitor CR progress and lead the UAT effort
The successful Business Analyst will need to work closely with other Business Analysts in the department to ensure impact on other process areas are well considered.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst
- 3+ years of experience in HR area essential, including HCM, performance management, absence management and recruitment processes
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) clearly and effectively with both IT and business stakeholders, with proven experience in acting as the "bridge" between the two parties
- Skilled at capturing business requirements, creating user stories and acceptance criteria
- Skilled at process design and improvement
- Skilled at application testing – developing test scripts, reviewing test results.
- Experience and knowledge in Workday essential, especially the HCM, talent, absence management and recruitment modules
- Experience and knowledge in payroll integration with Workday essential
- Experience of HR management across Europe, with knowledge of different labour–related legislative requirements a bonus
- Basic data analytic skills to analyse data (e.g., SQL or advanced Excel) essential
- Experience in working in cross–functional project teams essential
- Business Analyst qualifications ideal (e.g. from British Computer Society)
- Experience in both waterfall and agile project methodologies a bonus
- Experience in HR data analytics a bonus
- In–depth knowledge of GDPR Compliance and a good understanding of their impact on HR a bonus
- Background in audit or internal controls function a bonus.
