Business Development Manager

The Role: As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for building relationships with Main Contractor, Housebuilder, and Regional Industrial accounts who have a requirement for accommodation hire solutions. You will be working with them on site and in the board room at all levels. You will be offering a vast range of accommodation, welfare, and modular equipment to national organisations on multiple projects. This role will see you have around 15–20 major prospects at any one time and your aim will be to take them from a small revenue figure to a multi–million pound account over time.

This is a relationship driven position and you will be working closely with Procurement Director and Operations Director level people within those organisations as well as building internal stakeholder relationships to ensure the client needs are fulfilled by all involved.

The Business Development Manager will cover the Midlands region of the UK, with a focus around Birmingham & Wolverhampton. The Business Development Manager will join a team of six nationally who are part of a large organisation. This means you will have the opportunity to target existing clients who do not already take advantage of accommodation solutions, target brand new business, and explore new sectors such as manufacturing & industrial end users in the region.

Requirements: To be considered for the Business Development Manager role you must:

  • Have a track record of selling into T1 Main Contractors, Housebuilders, and Industrial End Users at board level
  • Strategic New Business background & track record
  • Be driven, ambitious, and passionate about new business
  • Come from a background in Plant Hire or Heavyside Construction Products
  • Be an effective communicator & negotiator
  • Have a full & clean driving licence

The Package for Business Development Manager is:w

  • Basic: 50k–60k DOE
  • Up to 50% quarterly bonus based on individual and company performance
