Large public sector organisation in Liverpool currently undergoing an exciting finance transformation programme.
Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a team, this is a key role covering a secondment during the finance transformation programme. Duties will include:
What you'll need to succeed
ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA qualified accountant with strong management and leadership skills. Previous public experience would be an advantage
What you'll get in return
Initial 12 month contract either day rate or FTC. Hybrid working. Potential for a contract extension

Your new role

- Lead and supervise accounting teams, allocating duties, providing supervision of team members
- Manage a team of management accountants to ensure effective delivery of services
- Manage the data team ensuring effective delivery of services
- Provide comprehensive financial management service, including budget planning and reporting and financial advice to senior management
- Take a lead role in strategic financial planning and preparation and maintenance of financial plans
- Manage the closure of accounts process and prepare the statement of accounts
What you'll need to succeed
