Senior Finance Business Partner

An international market leading company with their head office based in High Wycombe are looking for an Interim Senior Finance Business Partner to lead a small team responsible for strategic business partnering and FP&A for the UK business. This role offers flexible/hybrid working within a fantastic working environment for a highly successful business.

Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for the UK forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning, setting financial targets and objectives. Liaising with other members of the Finance community and other technical experts, to ensure that knowledge is kept current and up to date.
• Conduct business performance analysis to identify, investigate and understand operational business unit results (e.g. margins, costs, profitability by client) and recommend improvement opportunities
• Lead the strategic partner to the Directors and form part of the divisional leadership team providing analysis, insight and support to aid commercial and operational decision making, process improvement and delivery of the strategic objectives.
• Prepare, challenge and explain accomplishment of budgets and forecasts in coordination with the Directors, and recommend and help implement actions to bring performance back to budget if performance deviates
• Provide ad–hoc analysis and insights on specific issues (e.g. develop business cases for new business opportunities)
• Prepare CAPEX investment appraisals including rationale for the investment and calculation of expected financial return
• Development and control of the standard costing project within the UK
• Continued ongoing development and delivery of the BI project within the UK, both finance and operational and maintain the BI roadmap. Coordination with the FBIA and BI technical experts (where applicable) to designed solutions and process efficiencies.
• Drive process improvements in working capital management
• Ensure accuracy of period–end financial closings by providing business expertise into the financial control team and reviewing final output

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Business Partner experience with relevant qualifications
• Proven FP&A experience
• Demonstrated ability to identify business cases for new opportunities, and the ability to prepare planning models and/or implementation plans for those opportunities with senior management.
• Experience in implementation and use of financial dashboards/analysis tools including Power BI/Sharepoint
• Ability to represent finance with the business and the business with finance
