Your new role
The Financial Controller will provide high level support to the Finance Director and the wider business. This organisation continues to experience a high level of growth and this role is pivotal in ensuring Finance is aligned with the continued challenges faced with such growth. We desire a high calibre individual with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in a similar sized business.

• Management of daily finance operations and processes, with 5 direct reports
• Delivery of timely, accurate and detailed financial reporting to the Board of Directors
• Provision of detailed budgeting and forecasting information on a rolling month basis, supported by detailed variance analysis and commentary
• Financial modelling, analysis and presentations
• Delivery and continued improvement to the existing Board pack
• Working capital management including cash flow analysis and reporting, Trade Finance management and FX.
• Assisting FD in maintaining and improving upon the company's FX hedging strategy to minimise exposure.
• Overseeing the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors/stakeholders
• Continuous improvement in the Finance Department and monitoring of SOP's to ensure accurate
• Assisting FD in producing and presenting reports to the Board when required
• Working closely with Head of Departments from across the business to provide key financial and analytical guidance
• Continuously improve business reporting and ease of access to financial and operational information
• Active involvement in the commercials of the business to drive real positive change

What you'll need to succeed

• Fully qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE
• Demonstrable experience in current role of Financial Controller or similar for the previous 3 years minimum
• Strong and experienced level of analytical skills in a commercial environment
• Advanced Excel skills, and a passion for manipulating data for all manner of reporting and analysis are essential
• Personable and able to communicate at all levels within the business
• Strong work ethic and a desire to challenge and be challenged.

What you'll get in return
£60-65,000 + Benefits.
This role is based on site in Braintree (with parking)
