Road Freight Business Development Manager

Our client, a company who offers global Transport and Logistics services, are currently seeking a Road Freight Business Development Manager for their busy team based in Northamptonshire.

This is a field–based role, where you will be out on the road selling EU Road Freight services.

The role of the Road Freight Business Development Manager is to build and develop relationships with clients, liaise with leads, and negotiate & close opportunities.

Other duties of the Road Freight Business Development Manager:

• Work alongside the internal team to help ensure all clients needs are met.
• Communicate new leads to the sales team.
• Manage clients appointments.
• Create and work towards sales forecasts.
• Create strategies to help the company reach new business opportunities.

On a day–to–day basis, you will be liaising with customers, suppliers, overseas partners, and internal teams, so having excellent communication skills is a good attribute for this role.

To be the successful Road Freight Business Development Manager, you will need to have strong Road Freight Sales / Business Development experience, good commercial sense and have a background working within the Freight or Logistics industry.

We are looking for self–motivated individuals who have first class customer service skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with both clients and team members.
