SCADA / Systems Engineer - Outside IR35

SCADA Engineer initially for a six–month contract. Training on Zenon COPA DATA SCADA Package will be provided. Ongoing project support will be given, ideally the right candidate would be motivated and work with a degree of autonomy. Please see brief job description / knowledge / experience required:

• Configuration / development and testing of all functions of the SCADA system.
• Working knowledge of control and protection systems.
• Commissioning experience Siemens/Zenon COPA–DATA C&P
• Production of test documentation for each stage of testing
• Driving and managing the workflow and documentation during the configuration and test sequence
• Able to work independently at site conditions.
• Strong field testing and troubleshooting skills.
• Sound understanding of electrical & communication system designs.
• Working knowledge of relational database systems. Preferably with design / administration skills in SQL Server
• Knowledge of Power Systems preferable. Ideally with a working knowledge of IEC61850, IEC(phone number removed)–101 / 104 protocols, Protocol Simulators, and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark.
• Working knowledge of open communication protocols OPC, Modbus, DNP, etc.
• An ability to work and communicate effectively in a project team environment.
• Good standard of IT literacy especially Word, Excel, Project, and Visio
• Good written communication and interpersonal skills
• Travel to site as required.
• Hold CCNSG (Safety Passport) certificate.
• Experience in a similar role involving the configuration and testing of medium to large scale SCADA systems and communication infrastructures.
