Mark Sattin Executive Search is pleased to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join a People-based business in the North West of England, backed by a reputable private equity firm. This business provides valuable counsel and support to clients in a key sector, and is set to achieve significant revenue growth in the coming years.

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will provide strategic leadership to the business, ensuring the effective management of all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and forecasting. Your responsibilities will extend to developing and implementing financial controls and procedures to maintain compliance and reduce risk. You will also assume a larger operational role outside of finance, including IT and HR.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide direction and oversight for the business's financial performance, fostering growth and profitability.
  • Manage all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Establish and execute financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Provide insights and analysis to the leadership team, influencing key business decisions.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including investors and financial institutions.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).
  • Experience as a CFO or FD in a PE-backed business, ideally having achieved a successful exit.
  • A track record of driving growth and profitability through effective financial management.
  • Experience of day-rate utilization.
  • Consultancy services or broader professional services experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
