This is a new role, which will lead the financial operation of the company and increase the capability of the team, taking responsibility for the overall management and performance of the finance department and company finances.

My client is a well established and leading health care provider based in Derby. To keep up with their rapid growth and development they are now seeking a Head of Finance to lead the financial operation of the company.

Description
Managing the financial processes and ensure systems, and those effecting the financial position, are fit for purpose as the company evolves. Instilling automation mindset where possible
Maintenance of company cashflow and Balance SheetEnsuring the production of monthly accounts including, department accounts, company profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow analysisUnderstand and implement changes to accounting and tax regulationsImplementation of risk reduction strategiesLead the financial aspect of projects; ranging from capital investment to transformational and reporting on these and marginal enhancement programmesContinuous review of contracts and making recommendations for enhancementsEnsuring the accurate and timely payment of supplies, payroll, and related liabilitiesCoordinating the annual budget and carrying out half yearly re-forecasts, advisors, and manage senior budget holders over financial issues in preparation for Deputy Director reviewSupporting accurate contract costing and investment appraisal
Profile
Professional Accountancy Qualifications (CIMA, ACA, or similar)Expert knowledge of financial and accounting processesStrong communication skillsPrevious experience of developing a teamExperience of producing budgets, monthly management accounts, contract costing and other analysis
