Marks Sattin is working in partnership with an established SME based near to Chipping Norton to recruit a Financial Controller. This role will report into the CEO and an opportunity to work in a hands on role with 1 direct report whilst being involved in strategic and commercial areas. Busy and fast paced environment providing a good opportunity for career progression.
This is a great step for somebody looking to manage a small finance team with ownership and autonomy, you will be a Financial Controller/Finance Manager with experience in the SME world and a rounded skillset. The ability to drive process improvement and growth, working closely with the board and non finance stakeholders. Alongside the day to day you will be involved in bids and tenders, new product analysis, business partnering and strategic input to the wider business.
This role will be paying between £65k and £75k per annum with excellent benefits including hybrid working (2 days in the office), enhanced pension, Life Assurance, 25 days annual leave and much more!

Financial Controller Key Responsibilities Include:
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Prepare the monthly P&L and cashflow forecast
- Balance sheet review and reconciliations
- Partner with key non finance stakeholders to provide tangible management information and analysis, be a true enabler for the business
- Financial modelling to support bids and tenders process
- Process improvement and system maintenance to ensure best practice
- Own the audit process and production of statutory accounts
The ideal candidate will be:
- Qualified by ACCA/ACA/CIMA (QUALIFIED BY EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills: data manipulation and analysis alongside financial modelling
- SME experience essential, desire to be hands on as well as strategic
