The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager to join a forward–thinking organisation based in Grimsby. As the Finance Manager you ll be responsible for the Field Services Business Group, which provides specialist Fabrication, Construction, Site Services, Operations and Maintenance expertise to Customers throughout the UK in a number of highly–regulated sectors.

The successful candidate will:

  • Extensive experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar Commercial Role. As well as a CPA or CA qualification or similar.
  • The Finance Manager will have significant experience with project accounting and apply accounting standards and corporate financial policies.
  • Experience of GBS, Hyperion (or similar Oracle systems) is preferred.
  • A high level of understanding of the accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Working between wider corporate finance function and locally part of business leadership team.

Key aims, objectives & responsibilities and duties:

  • The Finance Manager would be responsible for direct line management and supervision of the Finance team.
  • Provide month–end reporting on project and overall business performance.
  • Monitor overhead expenditure against budget.
  • Monitor project balances on Accounts Receivable and Work in Progress to optimise cash management.
  • Prepare ad hoc journal entries/reporting.
  • Assist processes that enable the business to effectively manage its costs. Identifies and implements specific cost reductions.
  • Liaise with other departments and outside suppliers and clients to resolve cross functional pending items.

Experience and personal qualities:

Essential:

  • An understanding of the Fabrication and Construction industries experience is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of managing a Finance or Commercial team.
  • A high degree of organisational skills Ability to deal with multiple tasks whilst meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Previous experience of an Oracle System.
  • CPA or CA Qualification or similar.
