Our client is an award–winning Digital Marketing Agency.

Established 25 years ago, the company has been providing SEO, PPC and web design services to small and medium size business in the UK across a range of industry sectors.

The company prides itself in developing long term relationships built on delivering impressive results for its customers. The company has continued to flourish through the recent economic challenges, and they are now seeking a highly motivated and passionate Business Development Manager to drive new revenue growth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and well–regarded Lancashire company with exciting plans for the future.

The successful candidate will earn a fantastic basic salary GBP28,000 per year, with OTE GBP40,000 (uncapped).

  • A proven track record in consultative sales, and experience in working within a competitive B2B agency environment
  • Possess entrepreneurial flair with an instinctive ability to seek out business opportunities that can deliver value to our customers
  • Be an ambitious, energetic and over–achieving individual who craves success
  • Have excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, together with the ability to engage and build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills, and able to meet deadlines
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing channels, and how they deliver success for our customers
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and able to work with various departments within the business
  • Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK
  • A UK degree would be an advantage

What will your role as a Business Development Manager look like?

  • Driving the growth of the company by achieving monthly revenue objectives from our key target markets
  • Proactively generate new leads through a range of sales prospecting activities including professional networks, referrals, contacts, LinkedIn engagement and maximising sales from existing customers
  • Diligently follow up on all inbound sales leads
  • Researching and qualifying prospective customers
  • Nurturing all qualified prospects and opportunities with a view to moving them through the sales pipeline to a successful conclusion
  • Through an analytical approach, understanding the customer s needs, their strategic objectives and pain points, and then developing an effective solution that will help improve the customer s business, whilst managing expectations throughout the process
  • Working alongside the web design, SEO and paid media teams, create professional and sales–winning proposals
  • Presenting your ideas to the prospective customer in a compelling manner, getting their buy–in, and leading to a successful sale
  • Work with the client services team to identify up–sell, cross–sell, and new revenue opportunities to strengthen and maximise existing accounts
  • Maintain the CRM system and provide regular sales pipeline reports and feedback to the Directors
  • Keep up–to–date with new developments and technology within the digital marketing industry, and our key target markets
