Director of Finance and Resource role responsible for being involved in overall accountability for the financial performance of a range of community-based while ensuring attainment of targets and business sustainability.

Description
  • As required by financial requirements, advise the CEO and the Board on external and internal audit arrangements.
  • Compile the year-end statutory accounts and the audit file for the year-end audit of the accounts; communicate with the auditors to obtain sign off and submit yearly company accounts.
  • Employ cost-benefit analysis to ensure contract/contractor performance is optimal, and make modifications as needed to increase efficiency and assure VfM delivery.
  • Participate to the creation and revision of the strategic plan, including the creation of a business strategy and ensuring that the objectives are related to the overall long-term financial plan.
  • Research and compete for additional financing for the charity, as well as aid with the financial monitoring of projects when they are agreed upon.
  • Impact and comprehend the recruitment and selection process in accordance with safer recruitment/GDPR legislation. Inform and challenge senior executives to ensure they fully grasp and participate in the process.
  • Coordination of capital investment in the charity and maximisation of opportunities available through the Condition Improvement Fund and other financing sources.

Profile
  • Fully ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA qualified with 5 years minimum experience managing a team.
  • Proven track record of success in leading the finance functions.
  • Personal interest in supporting disabled people to enhance their independence.

Job Offer
  • £60,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience
  • 25 days leave plus bank holidays.
