Psd are working with a bank to fill a role to assist with and oversee the day-to-day financial accounting needs of the team and provide full support to the internal andexternal reporting processes on a monthly and annual basis.

Experience Needed:
  • ACA/ACCA equivalent qualified with 2-3 years of post-qualification detailed financial accounting and reporting experiencein a financial services role, with an audit background.
  • Experience in Corporation and Deferred Tax Assets. VAT and PESM knowledge would be an advantage. Experience of managing small teams. Hedge accounting knowledge would be an advantage. Experience in using Oracle would be an advantage (this role to be trained up as an Oracle super user.)
Summary of Control Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Financial reporting – key input into the preparation of the Annual Reports, assist with preparation and review ofunderlying support.
  • Impairments – lead the challenge process of discounted cash flow models produced by the credit department.
  • Team management – motivate, mentor and develop members of the team.
  • Ownership of VAT including quarterly return and PESM annual true up.
  • Ownership of Corporation Tax and DTA - General ledger control including ownership and review of balance sheet reconciliation process including ensuring members of the team complete relevant tasks.
  • Perform all main and additional duties to a high standard.
  • Provide cover across the finance team where necessary.
