Senior Finance Manager

Job Purpose

Commercially focused business partnering and reporting role supporting a number of major clients. Acting as the key interface between the business and the client, I am seeking an experienced logistics / transport candidate looking for a role offering genuine career advancement.

Main responsibilities

• A key member of the leadership team providing challenge, financial support and insights
• Leading and managing the Finance team and being responsible for their objectives and development
• Maintain tight financial control, including fully understanding the contractual and commercial arrangements with each client
• Creation, review and presentation of internal and client budgets and forecasts
• Monthly cashflow forecasts
• Ensuring sales invoices are raised accurately and on time
• Maintain tight control of balance sheets on a monthly basis
• New Business and Account Development
• Be the finance lead for all new business and account development, including account retention and strategic growth of division.
• Preparation and maintenance of up–to–date SOPs Experience

What we are looking for

• Qualified accountant, able to translate strong technical expertise into practical application, and operational activity into financial impact
• Transport / logistics / distribution or supply chain experience from a logistics environment
• Strong commercial and operational experience with a proven background of delivery
• Ability to provide credible support to non–finance areas of the business
• Able to liaise at all levels within an organisation from, boardroom to shop floor
