As Head of Communications at Marshall you will have the privileged role of working at Senior Management level in an exciting and diverse organisation. As our organisation grows and transforms your role will lead the execution of the Global internal communications strategy., Ensuring employees have a voice, building the understanding of our purpose values and culture whilst influencing and working alongside the MET, Marshall Executive Team. We anticipate this role being mainly a site based role as engaging with those that are here on a day to day basis is key for the success of this opportunity.

You key responsibilities will include:

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the development and execution of all global internal communications and employee engagement programmes with an aim to build internal understanding and engagement in Marshall's purpose, strategy and culture.
  • This position will actively drive change management efforts through company–wide employee communications for 2,000+ employees, across existing and future communication channels and vehicles including new and emerging technologies.
  • Must be able to operate in matrix organisation and simultaneously manage, coordinate, and execute a number of complex internal communications projects within stringent timelines and budget parameters at both individual Business Unit and Enterprise level.
  • Develop and implement enterprise level and BU specific internal communication and employee engagement strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire employees with Marshall's purpose and business strategy and to drive employees' understanding of priorities and key initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment of internal communication activities across all BU's, functions and regions.
  • Serve as a business partner and providing counsel and executive communications support as needed and developing messaging and internal presentations for company events and updates.
  • Manage team of two ICBP's responsible for delivering day to day operational support to the BU's/Functions and project specific communications contractors on ad hoc basis
  • Establish and track metrics that help correlate internal communications activities to employee productivity and performance.

  • Ability to identify and analyse business and audience needs to deliver messages via the most appropriate mix of channels, Experienced in leading internal communication with high percentage of non–connected workforce
  • Experience of working across multiple sectors
  • Able to be hands–on, a "team player" who can lead by example, with high accountability for his/her actions.
  • Proven problem–solving ability that can identify source of problem, impact of problem as it relates to other functions, impact on stakeholders, and recommended solution.
  • Outstanding collaboration, influencing and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. An outstanding writer with the ability to create compelling messages that provides all levels of employees with a clear line of sight to business strategy.
  • Outstanding judgment, with a balance of confidence, maturity, refinement and high energy.
  • Proven experience of creating and executing internal communications and employee engagement activity that align to business, and a track record of delivering solid, measurable results.
  • Demonstrated success managing teams both internally and externally, eg contractors and agencies.
  • Has worked at a strategic level, influencing Executive Teams and being a key point of advice and guidance
