Our client is at the heart of the High Street and online with a passion for detail and the highest quality in products and their customer experience. Our client has invested into a huge company systems upgrade to improve all areas of the company and with this requires an experienced systems Finance Manager.

You will join the growing Ops team to act as an intermediary between Finance and the IT and external applications management support third party teams to support the finance requirements of ongoing releases, upgrades and continuous improvement streams of Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations.

This will require as the Systems Finance Manager, an expert in D365, someone who enjoys investigating, looking into things from a wider prospective and a natural people person and enjoy building relationships with all areas and levels to ensure you not only understand everyone's areas but also they know you as the go–to person in the team.

What will you be doing?

• Providing guidance to the Finance function, the successful candidate will also advise on how to optimise technology, data and reporting to strengthen the efficiency of the team.
• Support ongoing releases and upgrades of D365 Finance and Operations through understanding and testing new features and validating finance related regression tests
• Support new business initiatives that impact finance systems and processes.
• Work with the business and the program team to understand the new functionality, determine how it impacts finance and advise on finance specific testing required
• Communicate upcoming systems changes to the Finance Team and work with Finance Subject Matter Experts to ensure all developments are fully tested and meet with Finance requirements before deployment
• Lead the finance continuous workstream initiatives by identifying opportunities for new features or reporting and work with the functional and development teams to define, test and deploy the new requirement
• Ownership of master data infrastructure and hierarchies ensuring data integrity is maintained between D365 F&O and the finance team's business reporting tools
• Provide hypercare support to the finance teams following any implementation.
• Work with the IT support teams to resolve the finance hypercare issues
• Collaborate with external suppliers to complete the Accounts Payable project for stock invoices and make enhancements for non–stock invoices
• Implement robust controls and mechanisms to flag finance issues created by interface or systems failures
• Act as the main point of contact and systems subject matter expert to support the finance team with any D365 F&O issues and provide training sessions and materials where required
• Support the annual audit process by being point of contact for systems information and data requests

The skills & experience that you'll need

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with 1–2 years post–qualification
• Experience working in a busy finance team
• Expert in Microsoft D365 F&O or equivalent ERP with proven experience of delivering solutions for Finance Teams
• Great understanding of interfaces with other systems, data extraction, manipulation and interrogation
• Good attention to details and strong organisation skills
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
