Grafton Banks Finance is pleased to be supporting a prestigious education institution in London Bridge with their recruitment of a Senior Commercial Finance Manager. This role is being offered on a hybrid working basis (circa one day per week in modern, London Bridge office).
Role to include:
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting with informative analysis and insight for all levels of the business including Trustees, Audit Committee and Executive
- Lead, and improve, the budgeting and forecasting processes across all Markets
- Lead, and improve on, the bi–annual pricing setting processes to reduce complexity and improve contribution for the organisation
- Help drive commercial aspirations and profitability across the organisation, using modelling, analysis, and strong stakeholder management to understand product and market profitability
- Understand, reduce complexity, and provide clarity of the market structures, including harmonisation of pricing, review of commission structures, payment structures and commercial agreements
- Support the organisation on commercial tenders and analysing of new opportunities
- Working closely with Transactions Manager to reduce working capital days, through improved debt collection from the Markets
- Drive continuous improvement within the finance team and the wider organisation by identifying system and human process inefficiencies and driving improvements
- Manage and inspire a team of qualified and part–qualified accountants
- Continue to position Finance as an enabler and a critical part of the decision–making process
Your profile will be similar to the following:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- An excellent communicator with a history of building strong relationships in a business partnering role
- Experience of successfully leading a team of qualified accountants
- Confident in advising, challenging and negotiating with people, often senior, with different backgrounds and viewpoints
- Good financial and analytical skills to be able to digest large amounts of information with attention to detail when working under pressure
- Ability to apply strong commercial principles to their analysis and recommendations
- Strong commitment to overall service excellence and commitment to continuous improvement
- Proven record of delivering to tight deadlines
- Experience of working in a multi–cultural and multi–site organisation
- Sound working knowledge of Sun Accounting System (preferable)
