We are recruiting for a Project Manager (Building, Civil & refurbishment) to work on a prestigious facility in the North Yorkshire area completing a building project on the estate. The role is a temporary position for circa 3 months. Mon–Fri 40 hours per week circa 29/hr.
The role be to oversee the project and working within the project team to ensure all stages of the redevelopment progress and to coordinate each separate section including design, end user, sub contractors and in–house personnel.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Project management of building/structure redevelopment within a commercial facility.
Ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are prepared and monitored.
RAMS are fully compliant to site specific requirements.
Undertake periodic audits with sub–contractors and their teams to ensure they are conversant with their RAMS and scope of works.
Ensure all teams are focused with site health & safety processes and procedures.
Managing and delivering against contracted targets.
Projection and performance reports.
Proficient in using Excel type spreadsheets to ensure that the work is kept to budget.
Procurement of relevant plant and materials and sub–contractor packages to meet program dates.
Monitoring works progress and ensuring the quality of work is to the required standard.
Preparation of work in progress reports for submission to the Project Director.
Progress reports issued on a weekly basis to highlight.
Collating certification and data documents for preparation of O&M manuals.
Preparation of timing plans, installation, and commissioning documents.
Liaising closely with other professionals, including clients, and in–house project teams.
Attending a range of project group and technical meetings.
Analysis of labour resource requirements for the project and placement and control of labour and associated costs.
Managing site teams.
Assist with any Disciplinary and/or Grievance requests
Monitor the teams daily and weekly performance
Risk Management
Knowledge and skills:
A good understanding of building and/or civil project management
Self–motivated to prioritise and delegate roles/tasks
Provide cradle to grave project management
Site management and oversight of sub–contractors/in house personnel
Have excellent leadership and managerial skills
Ideally Black CSCS or equivalent
Proficient with MS Project and MS Excel
Previous experience in a similar role
Team Leadership
Proven Communication skills
