Job Title: Structural Associate Director (Nuclear)
Location: Chorley
Salary: 60,000 – 65,000 plus benefits

Calibre Search is currently working with a leading global engineering company in the search for an Structural Associate Director (Nuclear) to join their team in Chorley.

The right candidate will be joining an office of almost 15 staff and will work with an overall team of around 25 staff, half of whom are situated in a second office in the Lake District.

The company offer very flexible hybrid working, with most staff working just 1 or 2 days per week in the office and the office provides free, onsite parking.


The successful candidate will be a Chartered Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the design and delivery of large–scale, complex engineering projects within the nuclear decommissioning sector. As the Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the structural engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities of a Structural Associate Director (Nuclear):

  • Lead the Structural Engineering team for nuclear decommissioning projects, providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff
  • Manage project delivery for nuclear decommissioning, including design, analysis, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and regulations for nuclear decommissioning projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders in the nuclear decommissioning sector
  • Support business development activities for nuclear decommissioning projects, including bid preparation and client presentations


Requirements:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the design and delivery of large–scale projects within the nuclear decommissioning sector
  • Strong technical skills in structural analysis and design, including experience with relevant software packages for nuclear decommissioning projects
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders in the nuclear decommissioning sector
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team of engineers for nuclear decommissioning projects
  • Experience in business development activities, including bid preparation and client presentations, for the nuclear decommissioning sector
