We are recruiting for a Head of Planning & Scheduling to join our Pumps Parts & Retrofits (PPR) team within the Services EMEA division at Sulzer. This is a great opportunity where you can make your mark by improving our scheduling capabilities for large complex projects – creating and harmonising the scheduling practices across the PPR EMEA region.

You will work across our diverse multicultural global team and have exposure to an exciting portfolio of projects, applications, and customers.

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Set up scheduling processes & capabilities including standard templates, scheduling rules, procedures, process flow & interfaces with key stakeholders, WBS (work breakdown structure) and reporting KPIs across EMEA
  • Harmonize and standardize project scheduling processes across all Sulzer PM hubs
  • Implement critical path & float methodology
  • Define standard templates & WBS (work breakdown structure) for Tender and Project Schedules
  • Assist in the creation of Tender Schedules (pre–award) and Project Schedules (post–award) for critical/complex tenders/projects and ensure their regular updating
  • Support operations and engineering teams in foreseeing planning and schedule analysis in the context of claim management when required
  • Guide project teams with schedule improvement and mitigating actions during monthly project reviews
  • Work closely with global factory planning to incorporate manufacturing schedules
  • Drive OTD (on–time delivery) through better schedule management, risk identification, and best practice sharing across the Energy business unit

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • First–hand experience as a project scheduler
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project SAP and Orsoft
  • Experience in driving EMEA improvement initiatives & change management
  • Education – Level: Master Subject: Engineering Certifications
  • PMP–PMP (Optional)
  • PMI–SP (Optional)
  • Experience in driving global improvement & transformation initiatives
  • Engineering degree
  • Ability to design, review and manage complex systems and processes
  • An ability to assimilate information and communicate with stakeholders
  • Proactive nature with a desire to continuously improve processes and problem–solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Hands–on approach
