Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a legal team supporting the renewable energy division of a major energy group
- Providing advice to a variety of stakeholders in respect of the project function, including general commercial agreements, tenders and acquisitions
- Providing dedicated legal support on power generation projects behind electric vehicle hubs, solar and battery
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements such as joint venture, power purchase agreements (PPAs) and energy services agreements
- Providing ad hoc advice on a range of issues
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England/Wales or Scotland with at least 2 years PQE*
- Trained with a well-regarded law firm or in-house preferably with knowledge of the energy or utilities sector
- Strong commercial law experience
- Ability to lead negotiations on complex projects
- Ability to draft complex commercial contracts, preferably power projects but transferable skills will be considered
- Comfortable working independently
- A clear and concise communicator
