UK Facilities Management & Procurement Manager
Remote Working (reporting to HQ – North of England)
c 75000 plus EV/Car Allowance & Bens.
TJ Search are recruiting for a UK Facilities Management & Procurement Manager to join our client, a major Plc.
Our client has operational property across the UK are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Management & Procurement Manager to join our team. This role will involve overseeing all aspects of facilities management, property maintenance, and procurement services for our organization.
In this role, you will become the go–to expert across the entire organization, taking on comprehensive budgetary responsibility, leadership, and operational control. You will be expected to demonstrate strong financial management skills, as well as the ability to guide and motivate teams to achieve their objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the company's goals and vision.
As a key part of your responsibilities, you will initiate and drive positive change, implementing a Continuous Assessment of Facility and Equipment Management (CAFEM) system that accurately reflects the company's objectives and targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities Management function, including reactive maintenance and PPM operations.
- Property maintenance and statutory compliance for businesses and Group functions.
- Manage all soft services, such as Waste, Vending, Utilities, Cleaning, and Security.
- Manage the procurement process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership:
- Act as an in–house expert on all matters related to facilities management.
- Assist in communicating a clear vision for the future of facilities management.
- Observe and monitor individual objectives to achieve function goals.
- Ensure contractors and suppliers deliver cost–effective services in line with FM processes.
- Stay up–to–date with current legislation and identify areas for improvement or support.
Functional:
- Execute projects and services related to FM contracts, including reactive works, planned maintenance, and service contracts.
- Oversee budgets, manage costs, and ensure legislative compliance.
- Apply industry best practices and maintain clear audit trails of contract changes.
- Support insurance claims procedures and provide monthly reports to the Head of Property & Estates.
- Manage budgets and performance of the FM Supply chain.
Procurement:
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage the procurement team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the organization's mission and vision.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the company's goals and vision.
