Business Development Manager

My client, a well–established and industry leading optical design, development and manufacturer, is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their team, based out of their Buckinghamshire office.

As a Business Development Manager based in Buckinghamshire, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with the company's distribution network and OEM customer base, whilst identifying new business opportunities through the introduction of new customers, markets and product innovation ideas. You will possess strong understanding of the company's product range, competitors and industry, and work closely with the Marketing department and other cross–functional teams to provide technical input, knowledge and assistance to ensure the correct level of commercial and technical content for NPI, plus to resolve customer quality and performance related issues when required. You will assist with the creation of design briefs to propose developments of new products to join the company portfolio, following the conduction of market research into suitable applications, variants and NPI.

The ideal Business Development Manager candidate, based in Buckinghamshire will have strong previous experience working within a Business Development role, with good knowledge of lighting or electronics desirable. You will be able to work well within an inter–departmental team, with excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude to your work.
