Finance Manager | Manchester city centre (2 days minimum) | £55,000 - £65,000 | PE backed
Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with an exciting PE backed business in Manchester city centre who have created a new role in their team for a qualified Finance Manager This role has been created due to phenomenal growth on the back of private-equity investment and acquisitions.
You will oversee a £60m t/o division within the Group and the scope of this role will grow over time as you develop your skills and experience but some of your key responsibilities include:

You will oversee a £60m t/o division within the Group and the scope of this role will grow over time as you develop your skills and experience but some of your key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the production of the monthly management accounts
- Adhering and making sure the division abides to the month end timetable
- Reviewing and analysing both revenue and costs to support accuracy of accounts, including reviewing commentary and investigation into variances
- Reviewing the divisional balance sheet reconciliations
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
- Integrate the management accounting function across the group and streamline processes
- Reviewing VAT Returns
- Production and posting of technical accounting areas
- Reviewing Budgeting, forecasting and reporting for internal and external stakeholders produced by the management accounts team
- Reviewing consolidated invoice journals/prepayments/accruals and various other month end journals
- Ensuring all regulatory reporting and compliance is completed and relevant deadlines met
- Lead future recruitment within the divisional management accounts team
- Fully qualified accountant with 2-3 years PQE
- Previous experience managing / leading a team
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise workloads
