We are recruiting for a Business Service Project Manager to support the Head of Business Services with local and regional initiatives to drive improved quality and efficiency. the land operation creating an environment where best in class service is provided to our customers the UK&IE Branch network
What you will be doing
- Support the Head of Business Services with local and regional initiatives to drive improved quality and efficiency.
- To provide project management support and analysis to the Business Service function
Support the Business Service Managers across the cluster (UK &IE)
Ensure that we are continually improving our processes and productivity
Creation of KPI's at branch and cluster level along with improvement plans to deliver success in terms of improved productivity / better quality / reduced cost etc
Implement & improve standard working methods in back office functions for Land Transport operations
- Initiate quality improvements to ensure and improve the quality of Land Transport shipment transportation and handling (inc Customer Service and Invoicing & Settlement)
- To act as Project Lead on assigned Business Service Department initiatives. This will involve liaising with local Business Service Managers and colleagues along with other functional colleagues (where necessary) to align actions and requirements.
- To create Business Service KPI's and support in the continual improvement activities involved in the improvements in our productivity
- To liaise with Business Architecture (PDI) to ensure that the reports/data we require is scheduled and automated – without the need for manual intervention
- To continually seek out manual activities in our function and look to see how we can illuminate this
- To maintain our functional roadmap outlining our strategic direction for each year as well as project/initiative management trackers for all projects in progress
- To create monthly performance report across all elements of the Business Service function (I&S, Customer Service, ODM & OCL)
- To create business process documentation and work with Business Service Managers locally to improve daily processes where appropriate
- Willingness to travel to the following UK locations for site meetings – Basildon, Nuneaton, Bradford once/ twice a year, Regional head office meetings Frankfurt once /twice a year

- Experience partnering with Senior Management
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Experience with Business Services related tasks
- Knowledge of customs processes desirable
- Demonstrable experience of influencing key senior stakeholders through strong operational and organizational understanding.
- Ability to effectively coordinate team to support the department in meeting strict deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship building skills (within Business Services across Europe and towards SMT)
- Ability to integrate and influence across the business
- A positive attitude and a pro–active approach
- Able to drive performance and motivate team to achieve their potential
