Head of Manufacturing

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting the role Head of Manufacturing for a leading manufacturer, located in Derbyshire. Our client is specialist in providing both design and complex manufacturing solutions for the highly regulated industries.

This is an excellent opportunity and one which will support the growth of this UK business which is part of a larger group and supplies on a global scale.

As Head of Manufacturing, you will:

Be an established leader, experienced in advanced manufacturing – preferably a highly regulated environment like aerospace, automotive or medical devices
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, coaching and mentoring the team within and sharing your knowledge of lean behaviours, processes and methodologies
Encourage a work environment which promotes safety in the workplace; and personal well being
Manage the budgets across site incl. headcount and productivity with a view to reduce consumable costs

Our client is keen to speak with individuals that:

Are degree qualified in Business / Operational Management or equivalent
Have a background in Operations Management, specifically within Manufacturing / Engineering – preferably in the automotive, aerospace or medical device sectors with an appreciation for engineering
Demonstrable experience in reducing costs whilst maintaining high levels of quality and safety
Commercial, proven experience taking a business from good to great; working closely at group level to achieve set out forecasts and make this site profitable
