HSE Business Partner

We are looking for a HSE Business Partner for a 12–month contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting–edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Purpose of the role:

The HSE Business Partner will be based on site 5 days' per week covering a number of areas within engineering, services and test & assembly. The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH qualification or equivalent, and have relevant experiences in the engineering, manufacturing or construction arenas.

The HSE Business Partner will have strong experience in: Risk Management, HSE Governance, Performance Reporting, Planning & Project Management and an excellent Stakeholder Management skill set

As a HSE Business Partner you will be responsible for:

• HSE locally in support of the Business priorities and based on a sound understanding of the local HSE performance and risk profile
• Coaching managers in effective HSE leadership and implementation. Be the principal HSE point of contact for your assigned responsibilities and accountabilities
• Delivering on agreed improvement plans and be proactive in seeking out emerging issues.
• Identifying and promote good practice
• Working collaboratively with the wider HSE function to build a sense of team, and alignment to Business and functional strategies

What we require from the candidate:

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• Worked in an HSE role in engineering, manufacturing or construction
• A project management skillset, including exceptional stakeholder management experience
• It is desirable to have environmental qualifications
