We are currently seeking for an experienced Business Development Manager (Work from home) to support further growth for our client particularly around their machining capability with a well–established British investment casting company. Specialising in high integrity casting in both Ferrous and Non–Ferrous materials, they supply a diverse range of sectors; Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Marine, Medical, Oil & Gas and Rail. This is a new position working alongside an existing commercial team and broad UK focus.

As Business Development Manager you will be required to:

  • Be a hunter for new business. Hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
  • Assist the internal sales teams in providing quotes for new business.
  • Identify and qualify new customers and potential new market opportunities across the UK with an eye on European opportunities.
  • Visit potential and existing clients in person across the UK.
  • Manage existing the customer base to maximise turnover and profitability.
  • Be able to aid in design of new parts and quote for machining opportunities.

As Business Development Manager you will ideally have:

  • Proven experience of sales success, especially in attracting new business.
  • A background in machining or engineering.
  • Market knowledge of Aerospace, Defence, Marine, New power Generation, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, high–end manufacturing.
  • Experience of doing business within a high quality and diverse customer base.
  • Self–motivated, with a passion and drive for growing sales.
  • A strong commercial awareness around sales forecasting and profitability.
  • Represent the company in a business like and professional manner at all times.
