We are seeking an experienced, Accounting/Finance Manager to join our team at our state–of–the–art facility by Bournemouth Airport.This key position will be responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for proactive financial planning, controls and compliance plus managing a small team. The successful candidate will have proven experience from a Manufacturing accounting environment, including leading projects and strong ERP experience. You will have outstanding communication skills to optimise business partnering and develop a small team, deputising for the Unit Controller as required and looking for a role with the opportunity to advance your skillset.We value work–life balance and offer a variety of ways to support this through our Hybrid working, flexitime program and condensed work week (4 days). We offer a competitive salary and benefits package which includes:– Annual salary review and bonus scheme– 25 days' holiday– Comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme– Enhanced company sick pay (after probationary period)– Company funded life cover– Optional employee stock purchase plan– Cycle to work scheme– Pension scheme of up to 7%– Continuous development and training on–the–jobRelocation assistance may be possible for individuals looking to relocate to the Bournemouth AreaYour Challenge:– Preparing and analysing month–end management reports; reviewing for accuracy or omissions and reporting on findings– Performing ad–hoc reporting and studies as required including leading or assisting in the completion of bid proposals – profit & loss, NPV and ROI– Responsible to adhere to compliance requirements for applicable regulations, internal controls and Corporate policies and procedures– Documenting and updating accounting policies and procedures– Processing and maintaining general ledger, profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements– Developing plans and coordinating preparation of strategies, budgets and forecasts– 'Owner' of MIS system, maintaining data cubes and creating complex reports– May conduct Principal audits and support internal, external and government audit requirements– Developing a thorough understanding of all aspects of the business– Apply analytical skills to the detection of trends and the development of forecasts– Performs complex technical analysis to determine present and future financial performanceYour Expertise:– ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA qualified (or equivalent degree)– Proven experience in an accounting position ideally from a manufacturing environment– Previous supervisory and/or Management experience managing a small team– Ability to deputise and support Unit Controller as required– Strong ERP experience including interpreting and interrogating information– Experience with payroll is desired– Advanced MS Office skills including ExcelThis position may require exposure to export–controlled information and subject to additional security screening.
