Finance Project Manager

Job Description: The Supply Chain Transformation programme is building the future supply chain of the Services and Solutions business. The business currently runs ageing stock platforms both in terms of the software and hardware functionality at the distribution centres (Knapp Kisoft) and the stock accounting system (Calidus) and subsequent integration into our financial systems.The role would have a remit to act as the finance gatekeeper and therefore would need an appreciation and wider understanding of fundamental finance processes and controls (both FC and data required for financial planning and the wider partnering/insight remit). The candidate will ideally have an appreciation/experience of supply chain. Due to the proposed speed of the project there is a need for this resource to be assigned full time, to be aware of and proactive around, feeding into the discussions being held and the decisions being made. Additionally the role would have project management experience as there will be a vital requirement to monitor, update and then engage the wider finance team with their areas of expertise bringing in the multiple subject matter experts across finance as the needs dictate, be they AP, Finance systems, Legal entity structure, Stock accounting.This project is also an opportunity to build supply chain processes that are better and more agile than the current capabilities, and therefore the role would challenge the business not to accept the bare minimum or keep the status quo but push to build in improved MI, controls, and functionality into the future solution.The role will also be key to ensure a synchronisation with the other transformational projects currently running in the services and solutions space including the design and implementation of core platforms through which the BG Services and Solutions business delivers its products and services (Proj Fusion).The role would be envisaged to be a 6 month role with the potential to extend dependent upon the progress and requirements of the project
