Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Bournemouth for a Finance Manager on a fully remote basis for 12 months. The postholder will lead on the financial aspects for services, ensuring solutions are established that make effective use of resources whilst meeting the changing demand. They will provide complex, expert advice that is evidence based, in accordance with regulations and policies, and that will support decision making. The postholder will manage and monitor service budgets, ensuring best fit with strategic direction of the service and a holistic approach to business planning in order to maximise outcomes for customers

Ideal Candidate

• CCAB/CIMA Qualified Accountant with Post Qualification Experience
• Experience within Local Authority/Local Government finance at a senior/management level
• Experience of managing budgets and providing expert advice to senior members
• Experience of accounts, financial control and planning with strategic financial vision
• Great communication skills with experience of managing a small team to run an effective service
