Job Purpose

• Lead tax computations for a significant client portfolio and oversee the tax compliance process.
• Delivering trusted advisory and technical knowledge.
• Build trusted and long–lasting client relationships, being their go–to senior advisor.
• Oversee the work of the tax team, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met.
• Provide strong people management skills, managing workflow and mentoring junior staff.
• Communicate technical matters in an easy–to–understand way.
• Work closely with Partners on complex tax planning and advisory.
• Review efficiencies and recommend new processes to improve workflow.
• Drive the tax function's strategic direction by scoping new business opportunities and identifying new service lines for the existing portfolio.
• Set an example to the team as a hands–on and proactive Partner Designate.

The Successful Applicant

• CTA qualified with several years' tax experience within practice.
• Possibly also ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong business development skills and a passion to drive business growth.
• Previous supervisory experience with great people management skills.
• Adept at building trusted relationships within a client facing role.
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge.
• Strong leadership skills with a natural ability to inspire those around you.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and sound organisation skills.
